Sci-Mentor Nutrition

Increasing muscle and size - the key facts

Increasing your muscle and size is not as easy as just visiting the gym three times a week.  Nutrition is a very important catalyst for muscle growth.  Some experts say that nutrition plays the most important role in muscular development and at Sci-Mentor Nutrition we agree.  Looking at resistance training and your diet as a ratio, 80% of your success will come from eating correctly and 20% from training right.  Without a good diet your are wasting your time and in some cases you can lose muscle with a bad diet.

What are the benefits of weight gainers and protein powders?

When you first start training, the first few years will be when you make your best gains.  When supplementing your training program with a good weight gainer you could experience dramatic gains in muscle size and strength.  Eat your normal 3 to 4 meals a day and supplement with Sci-Mentor’s Mass Gainer before and after training.  Split your serving into two servings to start with, taking one 45 minutes before training and one immediately afterwards.  This will provide the body with optimum nutrients before and after training and aid your workout and recovery time.

Should you use a weight gainer or protein powder?

If you have a fast metabolic rate or you struggle to gain weight then a weight gain formula is the best option for you.  Remember to adjust your diet in small increments as you will find it easier to manage that way.  These small adjustments will allow you to see what is working and what’s not.
